Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels take part in the title roles in this genially low-brow comedy. Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey) and Harry Dunne (Jeff Daniels) are two intellectually-challenged very best friends, who make a decision to travel all the way coming from Providence, Rhode Island to Aspen, Colorado (or could it be California?), to bring back a a briefcase containing ransom cash which is planned for Mob-connected kidnappers. left within the airport terminal by Mary Swanson (Lauren Holly), Lloyd's immediate love crush. Lauren Holly costars as the lady exactly who lost the briefcase, and with whom Carrey falls in love. As Lloyd and Harry create a mad dash to bring back the briefcase, the bumbling friends attract Mobsters, police officers, and difficulty galore.
