The entire world is watching-literally-every moment Truman Burbank makes the slightest move. Unknowingly to him, within this hauntingly humorous movie by Peter Weir, his whole existence has been an neverending soap opera for consumption by the rest of the entire world. Truman Burbank is really a typical guy, surviving in an ordinary city. He was raised to become a desk clerk for a insurance provider, existing a typical living, having an ordinary girlfriend, a typical neighbour and an ordinary bud, who comes in from time to time having a sixpack. But Truman is not really pleased with his existence. He hopes to see the entire world. He desires to get away from his happy-happy, ever tidy, nice'n'shiny small island city on the seaside. The simple truth is, Truman was an undesirable pregnancy. His "biological father", Christof, a careless TV-Producer whom he never met, made up the Truman Show - the best show that is known - a show in which life is live. So, everybody around very poor Truman is an actor or actress with a small earphone inside the ear. Some day, Truman accidentally bumps into a catering area backstage and gets fairly suspicious.
